Apr 16, 2018Hank” Aschenbrenner, 81, of rural Minatare, Nebraska, passed away on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family. His funeral service will be held at 10:30 am on Monday, April 16, 2018 at Calvary Lutheran Church in Scottsbluff with Pastor Chris Kester Beyer officiating. The family requests casual attire. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Scottsbluff. Visitation will be at Dugan- Kramer Funeral Chapel on Sunday, April 15, 2018 from 3-6 PM with family present at 5 PM. Online condolences may be left by visiting Henry’s Tribute page at www.dugankramer.comHenry was born in rural Bayard, Nebraska on February 10, 1937 to Henry P. and Anna Marie (Green) Aschenbrenner.Henry was a member of FFA while attending Minatare High School graduating in 1955. He was united in marriage Twila Vae Quinn on June 16, 1957 in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. The couple started farming and a cattle operation on their farm.Henry’s entire life revolved around his family, cattle, and farming. His wife at his side, he taught his children about life, kindness, caring, work ethic, and love of the land. As the family grew to include his grandchildren, the cattle operation also expanded. He loved to see all three, and more recently four, generations working the cattle.He was a member of the Calvary Lutheran Church. He was a past member of the Elks and Eagle Lodges.Survivors include wife Twila Aschenbrenner (Quinn) of Minatare, daughter Debra Aschenbrenner of Sparks, Nevada, son Duane Aschenbrenner (Julie) of Minatare, and son Gary Aschenbrenner (LaDonna) of Scottsbluff, Nebraska, grandchildren Brock Aschenbrenner (Natasha) of Minatare, Sara Aschenbrenner (Tate Pehl) of Terry, Montana, Caitlin Aschenbrenner of Reno, Nevada, Ethan Aschenbrenner of Scottsbluff and Tyler Aschenbrenner of Scottsbluff. Henry was a lucky man to have great grandchildren Gauge, Reece, Rhett, Adleigh, and Tucker. He is also survived by sister Laura Krantz (James) of Bayard, and brother Richard Aschenbrenner (Debra) of Scottsbluff, and many extended family members.Henry was preceded in death by h...
